I apologize if I made it sound like the _only_ reason was malice or that all
Republicans were of one mind in that regard. I was responding (perhaps too quickly)
to a post that made them all out to be saints. I do believe that for many of them,
malice was the prime motive. Don't have time for a longer response and am off to
Yosemite so I probably can't respond again until Sunday.
