You'd like the guy. Before he was ever my English teacher, he lent me
some Einstein and Heisenberg to read. He was just a really bright guy,
teaching English, who wanted to encourage my scientific literacy. AND
prone to wonderfully bad puns.
(Compare to my so-called physics teacher, who didn't remember enough
calculus to know what was going on on the standardized test she gave us at
one point and who had to throw my test out before grading or it would have
killed the curve.... Oh, and she thought that "Monty Python and the Holy
Grail" was just horrible.)
