Dan's remarks about how come that ecological sane solutions didn't
catch on untill now (especially if you take into acount that they have
been around for some thirty odd years) has been bogging me for a while
now.

I think I have one of the more simple answers to this question: It
wasn't fashionable untill now. As far as I got it, the sentiment until
just a few years ago was that ecologically sound techniques and green
products were seen as something exclusively for eco nerds. One of the
things that I notice now a days around here is that marketing people
have jumped onto this 'green' 'biological degradable' 'ecologically
sound' band wagon. So this environmental concious thing is starting to
sell more and more products to the average costumer, at least over
here it is. I know some of those claims are grossly exagerated or even
sometimes fake but it looks like the times have changed and people are
willing to take 'the green robe' they are handed by marketing people
even if they have to pay more. After all what is fashion for......

And now we have to keep hoping that this new fashion doesn't change
too quickly. :o)
