I have mentioned this before and the numbers may be better now.....

Bypass surgery has not been shown to increase the "length" of a persons life, 
only the quality of the life they may lead.  I worry that if we just look at 
"costs"/"benefits" some day some goofy insurance company is going to decide 
not to pay for them.
