Same problem in the public sector. Here in one of the smaller, poorer
states in the nation, the school superintendent appointed a couple of years
ago was given a salary making him the third-highest-paid such official in
the nation, despite the fact that many schools in the district were on
probation because the test scores were low and not enough of the students
were graduating . . .
