1. Is the rain forest purchasable by me?
2. If I do purchase it and desire to protect it am I guaranteed that the
resident government won't confiscate it and so with it what they like?
3. Am I sure that I wont be able to come up with the $1 B to buy the rain
forest through other means and thus save both the 10 sq. miles and the rain
forest?
4. Yes it was Yosemite - and the Ansel Adams wilderness. We went south
through Lyell Canyon, over Donohue Pass stayed at Waugh Lake for a day, then
headed North through Gem Pass, Koip Peak Pass (12,200 ft.) and Parker Pass
arriving at the road about 5 mi. east of where we left, having spent 4 nights
in the wilderness and hiked about 35 mi. Of roughly 15-20 backpack trips I've
been on this was the most spectacular. There were times I thought I must be
walking through Middle Earth. I'm hoping to get some of the pics up on a
website shortly.
