A good start is to examine the price of sporting tickets.   Sporting events
are essentially sales of emotion.  People pay for the experience of
participating in the emotional experience of rooting for "their team."   

Admittedly, there are other factors, like watching athletic ability,
socializing with friends, etc. - but the sale of emotion is a large part of
price.
