A good stance, though I personally value intelligence over life and am 
willing to take the risk of killing the biosphere in order to get 
intelligence reproducing across the universe.

Also, it seems as though anyone who puts life on such a high pedestal -and 
who thinks that bacteria surviving a human-generated holocaust isn't 
acceptable - would be paranoid enough to encourage backup plans of 
technologically enhanced panspermia, just in case of another big meteor hit.
