Ok, I think it's time for me to cry "Uncle," now. Ronn and my gut are
both telling me that to try to continue this analysis--which never even
really got started--is just going to cause pain for everybody, me included.
Life's too short. Let's blab about SF and why Bill Gates is evil instead.
:-)
Jeroen, if you're still interested in hearing my opinion about any given
issue, I'll be happy to give it in private.
As for this thing between Jeroen and Zimmy, I think that if it continues
at all, it needs to continue off-list. I don't think there's anything
there of interest to any third parties anymore. Just MHO.
One small thing:

Jeroen, please (in private) point out to me where I blamed you
for *anything.* I told you how I thought your words would be
interpreted--that's all. If the problem is that your words are being
interpreted contrary to your intent and to your detriment; and if you wish
to be told why this is happening; then you must be willing to be told by
another person his opinion of why your words may have a negative effect.
That's all I'm interested in trying to do.
But, if I unwittingly gave offense, then you have my apology.
