That was the first thing that I thought of when I heard the news. This is
another Pearl Harbor. And nothing, NOTHING, in the United States, is going
to be the same again. Many of the freedoms we live with are going to
crumble to dust like the Twin Towers.
I was home this morning and watched the news unfold on TV until I had to go
to work at noon. I watched the second WTC tower crumble live. That is a
sight that I will remember for the rest of my life. Things just got worse
and worse. It was like a nightmare or a movie...
A spokesman for the Taliban said that they didn't believe that Osama bin
Ladin is a terrorist and that he's been contained in their country. If his
organization is found to be responsible and Afghanistan won't give him up, I
can see the US declaring war on them to get him out. I'm a dove when it
comes to issues like that, but I don't think I would mind.
And one other thing: I'm now completely for the National Missile Defense
system. The ABM Treaty be-damned.
