Actually, we looked this up and Israel is 3 hours suntime, 2 1/2 hours clock
time ahead of us, and we're 6 hours ahead of NY, so at 9.00 am NY time it
would have been 5.30 pm Israel time, not even dusk yet (sun sets around 8 pm
these days).
