Since death, decay, destruction, and entropy in general are inevitable and
must be resisted and dealt with; and since the people who deal with these
things need to be paid; and since we want people dealing with these things to have
incentive to to the best job possible; then the answer is "Yes."

All of which begs the questions of what should be built and the use to
which it should be put.  I think it should be big, garish, and a home for
the arts in addition to business.
