I guess that is part of my problem with his characters: they don't ring
true to me. They are often "the best" or so good as to be unbelievable
to me. If you want to read about lots of heroes, then I guess Jordan
is the way to go. Sometimes, I'm just not in the mood for that sort of
thing, and am looking for something more lifelike.
