I've always thought that the fact that everything they do is being done in the name of God, and to show proper worship of Him and His teachings, somehow makes them more creepy and more evil than if they were just a bunch of bad-assed warmongers. There's a kind of purity to Ghengis Khan/Chaka Zulu type of warmongering by comparison. Even murderous slime like Ghaddafi and Saddam Hussein don't seem as bad because they're just evil, rather than evil in the name of God. Russell C.
