Such a statement from just one person does not really qualify as
overwhelming evidence. Maybe he said it was a common feeling because he
could not imagine people having different feelings about it. It happens; for
example, when my dad makes one of his racist comments, it is usually
followed by "and I think most people think so".

So? I do not think we kept track of were they went. It is quite possible
that some of them went to Israel and some to the US. Do you have the data to
prove that all those Jews went to the US? Heck, do you even have solid proof
that those people left because they were afraid to live here? I doubt it.

Besides, that 30% increase in the US is not only caused by immigration;
Jews, like everyone else, have offspring. How many of the Jews in the US
immigrated, and how many live in the US because they were born there?
