It's Israeli policy to blow or to > seal such homes whenever possible. An act Israel should be harshly punished for. Such acts are totally unwarranted; you do not just punish the terrorist, you also punish his family. I see a double standard here: it is okay for Israel to punish innocent people for the actions of someone else, but it is wrong for Palestines to do the same. You have a brother in the Israeli military, right? Assume he kills a Palestinian. How would you feel if the Palestinian Authority would blow up *your* house in retaliation for what your brother did? > (People *are* given about a hour to take their possessions out), Jeez, how generous, giving people a one-hour warning before destroying their home... :-( > but they would be well compensated. I am not sure what *is* current sum > that families of proven shahids receive, but they are well provided for. How are they compensated? Does Israel provide them with a new house they can move into immediately after their first house is destroyed? Or do they receive some money to build a new house, and have to live in a tent in a refugee camp till the construction is finished? Or perhaps, does Israel evict an Israeli settler family and give the house to the Palestinian family whose home was destroyed? Nah, probably not...
