Well in Belgium it is even worse. You absolutly need to speak French, Dutch and at least English, German or Spanish before getting one of the better paid jobs. We Dutch usually joke about the Belgian job requirements as far as language is concerned. But having worked in Brussels for a few years I do understand the need to at least comprehend or speak or better still write three of them. And gues what. I know the wrong three.
