But that is exactly what you have: two different reactions to the same
thing. Your apparent reasoning is: "Is it OK to destroy the homes of
innocent people? If those people are Palestinian: yes. If those people are
Israeli: no".

IOW, even if those family members never committed an act of terrorism, they
are still guilty of terrorism.

That is a very dangerous line of reasoning. And a very unhealthy one for a
country that claims to be a democracy.

Your brother serves in the Israeli army; you are proud of that. The Israeli
army destroys homes of innocent people simply because they happen to have a
relative who commits acts of terrorism. Attacking innocent people during a
war is a war crime. Now, to follow your line of reasoning: those war crimes
are committed by the Israeli army; your brother is part of that army,
therefore your brother is a war criminal. You are proud of him, therefore
you too are a war criminal.

Note: I am not saying you *are* a war criminal. I am only applying your line
of reasoning here. As a supporter of democracy and human rights, I consider
you innocent until proven guilty.

On a side note, I do not believe the Israeli army cares whether or not those
family members are proud of their relative -- they are his family, therefore
their home is destroyed. I cannot imagine that the Israeli army will first
ask the family "are you proud of your relative", and immediately leave
(without blowing up the house or shooting anyone) if the answer from the
family is "no".
