Perhaps.  But quantum computing is coming (they just factored 15). 
Solving NP problems in P time is the whole point of quantum computing. 
If a human mind can solve NP problem in P time, so can computers.

But I seriously doubt any such problems would arise in the design
process, and even if it did it would find other ways to accomplish said
goal.  That's the whole point of problem solving, if you can't accomplish
it using the best method, then you accomplish it with the second best
algorithm, etc.
