have an intolerant, anti-life culture?>>
Do simple math - count how many people were killed in the name of
Christianity and how many in the name of Islam. This will give you your
answer. <SHRUG>
About Koran - did *you* read it? Jerusalem is not mentioned there, but as
far as I remember - Jihad is. I asked
<<Did you read Bible, Talmud, Zohar?>>
Jeroen wrote
<<The bible? Some of it. Talmud? No. Zohar? Never even heard of it. Maybe
you should send me a copy of both as a X-mas gift...>>
Talmud is too big :-( If I'll find Zohar in English I'll get in touch with
you. But they both are expansions to Bible. You really should read it, at
least first 11 books - it would give you some information of Israel history.
<<Given that the Israeli government apparently finds "disagreeing with the
government" enough reason to arrest people, I can imagine that such groups
within Israel keep a low profile.>>
You should see our news. I mentioned some of them - Women in black, Four
mothers, Peace now, Whole generation, Peace seeds - they don't have *any*
problems. Now Women in green and This is our country sometimes have
problems. Kah and Kahana Hai are outlawed - as non-democratic. Both believe
in erasing all Arabs or as many as possible. So again either your
information is wrong you believe what you want to believe.

I answered
<<My Prime Minister Is Not Idiot.>>
Jeroen
<<You should go live in Europe for a while. Over here, he is generally
considered an extremely dangerous man, and a war criminal.>>
But I live in Israel and I don't understand why Sharon is guilty of
Christian Palestinians slaughtering Moslem Palestinians in Lebanon.
I also wrote
<<He is army general>>
Jeroen
<<Being and idiot and being an army general is not mutually exclusive.
:-)>>
Agreed. See Rabin.
About attitude. It, probably, "you" problem again - *I*, Ilana write
"Unfortunately, we are not go out into the streets screaming "Death to
Arabs!"" - "Unfortunately" - is *my* belief. Second part describes what
happens (or more correctly what *does not* happen)

<<Israel has this policy of destroying homes of families of Palestinian
terrorists and launching helicopter attacks on buildings of Palestinian
government and police after terrorist attacks. I would say that qualifies as
"reaction to each terrorist act".>>
I wrote
<<Check your data. There were no reaction to several terrorists acts. And
while you are talking about "launching helicopter attacks on buildings of
Palestinian government and police" you may remember that Palestinian
authorities were warned ahead to evacuate those buildings.>>
Jeroen asked
<<Ah, and that makes it okay? So, if a Palestinian wants to destroy an
Israeli police station by blowing himself up inside the building, that is
just fine too if he warned the Israeli police beforehand to evacuate the
building?>>
Destruction of property is *always* better than destruction of life.

does make such distinctions, so for the sake of better understanding between
all people in the world, I suggest you all learn Dutch as soon as possible.

Neither Hebrew, but after learning it myself (you know it goes in opposite
direction?) I am not asking anybody to learn it, who does not have to. But
you *can* try learning Russian. :-)
Jeroen wrote
<<BTW, in your case that distinction is hardly necessary, since your views
and your government's views seem to be pretty much identical.>>
Unfortunately you are wrong. :-(
