That explains why it might be a problem to ship it. Oh well, I will settle for the CD-ROM edition then. :-) >> No need. you can easily obtain a bound hardcover of the Talmud that is no bigger than an average copy of any of Dr. Brin's novels if you skip the explanations and comparisons. They have them in synagogues all over the world. Find a conservative synagogue and ask them if they have a library. It's easier. Most synagogues that have day school or Hebrew school programs have libraries. If I may suggest, when you do get a copy, try to get one that is a direct translation from Hebrew into your native language. It is harder to understand than simplified translations, but worth the effort if you are trying to glean meaning from the text. In the US, conservative synagogues use a version that has hebrew and english translation on opposing pages. Reform synagogues use native language only, but are simplified. Othodox synagogues use only Hebrew texts. Jon
