I wish the speed limit was an absolute, whatever it is. If everybody thinks the speed limit should be 70-80 mph (~113-129 kph), we should make it that and enforce it. Most people around here (Ca.) want to do 70-80 mph in the fast lane. You seldom get stopped unless you are driving like an idiot (buttsniffing, weaving etc.) especially if you keep it under 75. But then there are the "enforcers" - self righteous people that get in the left lane and do the posted speed limit even when there are 3 or more lanes to the right of them with people whizzing by on that side.
I don't care if they put in all manner of cameras, radar devices, whatever it takes to keep people to the limit, but I'm sick of dealing with a phony limit, and I think it might even be safer to have a higher enforced limit. -- Doug email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.zo.com/~brighto
