What he said. And, Jereon, before you say anything about my "extensive quoting": I quoted John's entire message because I wanted you to read it again and take it to heart. In fact, IMO the prudent thing for you to do would be to assume a lower profile on the list until this blows over. Which will probably happen sooner the less you egg it on. If this gets me "points" on your alleged "insult" table, or even gets me banned from the list, so be it. I think it needed to be said. As I said above, I have been thinking it for several days nowever since the "warning" or whatever to Johnand been trying to figure out how to say it. I have started several messages to the list which I then deleted unsent because I could not figure out how to say what I wanted to say without offending someone unnecessarily. So, how about let's all agreeing to disagree (it does strike me as odd that this is the only list I am on where the discussions end up driving off long-time active members of the list, while on other lists we discuss equally contentious issuesgun control as well as the Middle Eastbut somehow we all remain reasonable and keep talking to each other) on the Israel/Palestinian issue (whether we continue to discuss it or not), repeat "IAAMOAC" 100 timesor 1000 times or 10000 times or however many it takes to really believe itand go back to conversing as friends . . .
