This is awesome technology, I can see this being used as the preferred
method of gestation in the cloning of extinct or endangered animals. That
would eliminate (or reduce) one potential problem with species
incompatibility.
I also see this as potentially causing a surge in unplanned pregnancies. The
anti-abortionists would support this for obvious reasons, but making it this
easy (and guilt free) also has a price.
However, on a less serious note, my favorite line from this story....
'Some feminists even say artificial wombs mean men could eliminate women
from the planet and still perpetuate our species. That's a bit alarmist.
Nevertheless, this subject clearly raises strong feelings.'
That is a VERY extreme and ridiculous statement, even from an evil feminist.
I have to say that whoever made that silly statement does not understand men
at all. I mean hey, if we eliminated all of the women, who would get up in
the middle of the night to change the diapers? :-)
Sometimes as much as I would be an advocate for this, I just can't picture
snuggling up at night to someone with more whiskers and back hair than me.
eeeeewwwwwweeeeeee!!!!
