Had a fun time in New York. Went to The Strand, a bookstore. In the basement
the had shelves labeled as Reviewed Books, what does that mean? They were
all recent hardbacks. I was looking for Banks first. There were two of his
books, Look to Windward which I just read, and The Business which I don't
want to read yet.

I did it again, I went shopping for books without a list of books I wanted,
the ones mentioned favorably on the list or on Culture. I found The Postman
in paperback and there was one copy of Kiln People in the Reviewed Books.

I've only read 29 pages but I wonder about a tpyo on page 25. It says
'Zingleminded'. Should it be Singleminded or does the word mean more later
on? I haven't read any of the kiln-posts yet, in case this was already
mentioned.
