Given the absence of a smiley at the end of that sentence, I must assume you
are serious.

If you are indeed serious, then you are seriously wrong: I am not immune to
anything. Maybe it seems that way because I do not start screaming "that is
an insult" and demanding apologies each and every time someone says
something I disagree with, but I am not immune. I actually do care about
comments that are constructive criticism. However, comments that are really
nothing but Jeroen-bashing rants (and I have seen a lot of those recently)
are met with "oh well, I know who is saying it, so I do not have to take
either the post or the poster seriously" (altough that will not stop me from
commenting on them).

Being a listowner does not give me immunity. If the other listowners put it
up for discussion, and the community as a whole decides to kick me out, I
*can* be unsubscribed. The only way I could be immune to that is to be sole
listowner, but that is not even possible since I am not at Cornell. (So, the
only person who has somewhat of immunity would be Eileen, since we need her
to keep this list running on Cornells listserver.)
