Well, since Ronn told this, let me tell you a story I heard about him from another faculty member. It turns out that when he started teaching, he had trouble with proper articulation when he lectured. So, he ended up getting a speach coach.
The speach coach had a very simple plan. Ronn filled his mouth with marbles, and tried to lecture. He worked hard being able to articulate anything at all. After two weeks of practice like this, he was allowed to remove 1 marble per day, while he worked on his diction. Finally, when he lost all his marbles, he was a typical professor. Dan M.
