Maybe we humans exist because some alien race created the right conditions for it on this planet (oh great, we are some alien�s scientific experiment!). Maybe aliens did find us but decided to not make contact yet. If I were that alien, that is what I would do; notice that those bipeds down on the planet are still relatively barbaric despite their technology, log the planet�s coordinates in my computer, and come back in a few hundred years (Earth calendar) to check again. Or perhaps leave a team behind on the planet (disguised as humans) to gather information.
