Maybe they have been here already (although that can neither be proven nor
disproven). Maybe we humans exist because some alien race created the right
conditions for it on this planet (oh great, we are some alien�s scientific
experiment!). Maybe aliens did find us but decided to not make contact yet.
If I were that alien, that is what I would do; notice that those bipeds down
on the planet are still relatively barbaric despite their technology, log
the planet�s coordinates in my computer, and come back in a few hundred
years (Earth calendar) to check again. Or perhaps leave a team behind on the
planet (disguised as humans) to gather information.

Hm, this is beginning to sound like the plot of several Star Trek
episodes...   :-)
