1) Lots of talk about contempt and blame. It makes people angry but
doesn't encourage rational thought and calm consideration. I don't think
it is very productive.

2) On the other hand, I think it IS productive to understand why things
happened the way they did, what motivated people to do what they did
(good or bad), to analyze mistakes and successes, and generally to
learn from the past and think about how to act in the future. This is
productive and useful

I'd like to see more of #2 and less of #1.
