Number 2 sounds pretty accurate. The Occupied Territories are not Israeli property and should therefore be returned to their owners. I do not see it as a problem that those countries do not want those territories back; just declare those territories "The Sovereign State of Palestine" and let the UN give them some more land so the territories can be linked together. For the last few millenia, the Jews wanted to return to what they call their Holy Land. They got what they wanted, even though the Arab nations were not exactly thrilled about it. The Palestinians have their roots in the same area of the planet; why should we disallow them to return there, simply because *one* country is opposed to it?
