This leads me to ask three more questions. So, one does not forfeit anything by attacking a country with the intent to utterly destroy it and its people? Traditionally, if such a country loses the war, the ensuing peace results in a redrawn border. Do you argue that this "common law" of war is mistaken? Then, would this also apply to territories that were taken from Germany and Japan after WWII, and from Germany, Russia, and Austria-Hungary during WWI? Are you also suggesting that U.N. resolution 242 should not be considered the operative resolution to resolve this conflict? This resolution calls for full peace in response to Israel returning territories. Interestingly enough, it specifically _does not_ say "the territories" or "all territories." One of the negotiators who helped with the drafting of this resolution states stated that the language was deliberate...opening the door for only some of the land to be returned as part of peace.
