I've killfiled everything with a "middle east" related header, and it's much saner for me.
I wouldn't mind discussing the issue, but I do mind watching everything getting way overheated, and I don't like the way I've let myself get drawn into pointless nit-picky bickering. My point is, if you can guess to a fair degree what someone else's response to something you write will be, and you know you're not going to change their mind through the logic you use, what the fark makes you think insulting them will help? For the record, I don't know John or Jeroen face to face, but I wager I'd be more than happy to buy 'em dinner or drinks were they in Austin. And that goes for anyone on the list.
