Yep, happened to me once or twice. The message would go something like this:

<Introduction story, telling me why they were calling me>
"Press 0 to continue."
<several seconds of silence>
"You have not yet pressed 0. Press 0 to continue."
<several seconds of silence>
"You have not pres..."
<CLICK> (Answering machine hanging up because callers only get 30 seconds to
leave a message.)
