That depends on whether someone owns the domain that goes with the e-mail
account. For example, it should not be possible to connect someone's Yahoo
e-mail account to a real address, but if the user of the e-mail account owns
the domain name, things are different.

You can get owner info on a domain name by going to www.whois.net and search
on that domain name. If you search on sloan3d.com (Steve's domain) and Steve
has given the registrar the correct address information when he bought that
domain name, you will see his real address.
