The Great Brin-L Archive holds evidence of at least > *two* people being accused of anti-Semitism because of their criticism of > Israel, so your statement is false. I was very careful with my statement. :-) I could have said only one person's criticism leads to accusations, and then my statement would have been wrong. I can think of one time when Trent's statement lead to an accusation of anti-Semitism. But, I think he did a fine job showing that he was just misapplying theory, not really showing an anti-Semitic bias in his response. (OK Trent, that's a matter open to discussion, but I think you know what I mean. :-) ) Anyways, he has made a number of statements that could reasonably be construed as critical of Israel, and I only recall one instance when a post of his was referred to as anti-Semitic. > I also take into account that this happens repeatedly, even after I have > repeatedly stated that I am not anti-Semitic and nobody has managed to > prove otherwise. Well, the problem with that analysis has been mentioned. Remember, many of us are far too familiar with racism. Its a sad comment on the perpetuation of the original sin of the United States. I can close my eyes and see racist after racist proclaim "I'm not racist at all." Now, I fully agree that this doesn't prove that you are anti-Semitic, because denial is not proof of racism. Its just not proof that one is not racist. As far as proving things to you go...no hard feelings, but I can't even prove to your satisfaction that you've read posts that you've quoted. Dan M. P.S. Yea, Marvin, I know. The Fonz is revving up his 'cycle and the ramp is in place. :-)
