You might want to try _Queen City Jazz_ by Kathleen Ann Goonan. It's an interesting take on the paradigm-changing potential of nanotech. I enjoyed it a lot, but it's certainly not for everyone; one reviewer on Amazon says, "Mix together a bit of Alice in Wonderland, the Shakers, jazz improvisation, nanotechnology, plus traditional post-apocalypse sci-fi and you get Queen City Jazz." That pushes all the right buttons for me, but YMMV. There are a couple of sequels also, but I haven't read them yet. If you're interesting in something a bit older on nanotech/biotech, read _Blood Music_ by Greg Bear (one of the Killer B's -- that makes this post almost on-topic!). I'm amazed that so many of the Amazon reviewers don't like the ending or even the whole second half of the novel. I personally loved it. This is one of my all-time favorite books. I think it's a true classic. Speaking of classics, there's always Shakespeare... :-) >TV gets old and tired, and I've been playing the same old CD's over >and >over again. What genre(s) of music do you typically like? We can come up with recommendations there, too ;-) Reggie Bautista _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
