Having been sent down to the basement to find the trap that *must* have
had a dead rodent in it to account for the smell in the basement, and
having been startled by a scorpion in the sink as I was about to wash my
hands in the bathroom, I'd prefer to deal with the dead rodent. Of
course, Jon didn't get the initial shock of the scorpion unnanounced, as
his guest did, so I'm not sure how I'd stack up Jon's experience against
Dan's, but I'd much rather not be the one to have the initial shock of
meeting up with the scorpion.
(Then there was the scorpion we found on the floor of the entry, or
rather, our dog Miranda found it and was barking at it; I had to
physically haul her out before dealing with it, because I was afraid
she'd get hurt, but she didn't want to leave it. These two, plus the
one Dan found in the same sink I found mine in, all happened within a
space of 2 weeks. Whichever was the third one, that prompted the
immediate call to the exterminator.)
