Er, please pardon the digression, but I don't think that the number of replies is a terribly valid way to judge the strength of an argument. People usually reply to things (on this list, and elsewhere) only when they have an objection, or something to add. The strongest, most complete arguments often don't get replies at all, because people don't have anything to add to them. But the really *controversial* arguments that people don't agree with get many replies. Kevin Street
