<< Can you cite a credible source for that? Last I heard (last week) was that
the UN investigation into this had not even been started yet (because Israel
was blocking it). I can not imagine that the UN suddenly got Israel's
cooperation and managed to finish the investigation in only a couple of days.

The BBC has reported 56 deaths. That's the number of bodies discovered. The
Israelis claim that 32 of those were terrorists. (These numbers may be off by
1 or 2 either way.)

The UN investigation has not started yet because Israel & Annan cannot agree
on its scope and mandate. The Israelis want the investigators to look into
the Palestinians' use of Jenin as a base for launching terrorist operations,
not just the Israeli incursion into the camp. So far, Israel is not persuaded
that the UN will take its security concerns into account. They fear that the
UN only wants to investigate Israel's operations and not the terrorist
attacks being planned in and launched from the camp.

What makes you think the UN is going to be "credible" here? I think Israel
should just swallow hard and let the UN team in, but I understand their
reluctance. From their point of view, the entire world is pretending to
support the Palestinians (even though they don't really give a damn) just so
they can stick it to Israel. Why cooperate with your own hanging party?
