Oh, boy, such as? Geez, you name it. I'm not as steeped in any one section of "geek
lore" as a rabid fan of one thing, but I have a huge breadth of generally useless
knowledge. That is, I would get creamed by a fanatic Trekker or comic nut in a trivia
contest dedicated to that one topic, but if the topics covered all manner of geek
hobbies from RPGs to Babylon 5 to the X-Men I'd clean up.

I just find that I have a much easier time remembering, say, the call number of the
Storm Trooper that Luke stole the uniform from in SW:ANH (TK-421) than I do
remembering stuff for my career like the latest government revenue procedures and
their impact (OK, that one has to do with increasing the 401(a)17 limits and
increasing the threshhold for Current Liability interest rates, but that's beside the
point). And while it's understandable, it can be more than a little inconvenient, if
you take my meaning.

Jim
