And I think it is a good thing that there is a variety of opinions on this subject. My position basicly rests on the idea that people can be trusted. And people can be trusted to do things that are in many ways hazardous. Somewhere around 80 million people who own firearms behaved themselves today and acted responsibly in regards to the ownership of these weapons. If people who own firearms had as poor a record as people who own motor vehicles, I think my opinion would be considerably different.
