I am probably stating the obvious here, but the problem lies not with the 
majority that can be trusted with fire arms -- the problem is the minority 
that owns fire arms but can *not* be trusted with them. You know, like the 
people who do not keep their guns locked away, safely out of the hands of 
others (including but not limited to children).
