Zsnes is really good SNES emulator and nesticle is a good nes emulator.
Epsxe is a really good windows emulator for psx (I hear that people can
rent them and either make ISO images on HD / burn CD etc. (Not that I am
advocating anything illegal).).

I tend to visualize real-time games as games like Metroid, where the game
has to react to your playing instantly and you have to react to the
computer instantly.
