Ah, you misinterprit what saying "time is money" means then...

You are under the false impression that this means:
time = money
no, no, no.

He simply stated that time is a currency, and the fact that you only have
one or the other, but never both would seem to support that premise.  Other
things can support this premise as well.  Time, like money can be spent on
something.  At a job, you can exchange your time for money.  If you can hire
a person and pay them for their time.  Time, like money can also be wasted
(as I am doing here :-) ).  You can spend time to make something that you
want just as you can spend money to get something you want.  So, time is a
form of currency.
