I'm fairly sure that they have admitted to reassigning priests against whom
there were multiple serious complaints. Their defense is that they were told
that they were "cured."  However, looking further, one "cure" was attested
to by a mental health worker who had allegations against them pending as
well as a family physician. Other times, the treatment center that worked
with the priest advised against reassigning them to parish work...even when
parts of their reports were used to justify the reassignment.

It is a sad sad day for Catholics when the Cardinals sound as if they are
Enron executives or studied under Halderman. (sp)
