> > During what time period? > I am talking specifically about a case in Utah recently (2000) where the perpetrator molested numerous boys, was counseled by both a family counselor and the Bishop, and possibly the Stake President. I know the perpetrator personally, as well as many of the people involved.
State procecutors considered bringing charges against the Bishop and counselor. See http://www.mormonstoday.com/000326/D1LoganBishops01.shtml I also have personal experience where my Mormon scoutmaster (who was also a psychiatrist)was molesting a couple of the boys in the troop. This was covered up, and he agreed to move away. I am not disparaging the Mormon Church. This happens all the time throughout all of society. My point is that transparency should no longer be an option for religious leaders to attempt to deal with this subject. Nerd From Hell
