I've just waded through the killfile folder on my PC and I'm horrified by what I see there - that this is becoming part of the Brin-L archive. My concern is anyone making a statement like "you can't talk about killing lesbians" or "you can't talk about what you do with your semen" is dangerous. It doesn't achieve much because Mark's delusions are so vivid and so varied that no matter what restrictions we place he will find some other way to offend, and there are theoretically topics in which discussion of these topics may be valid.
As much as Michael's posts a few years ago made me uncomfortable, he was genuine in his emotions and was simply sharing his problems with his friends. Mark is simply broadcasting vulgarity (IMO, if you insist) to anyone and everyone. I don't think you can compare the two (again, IMO). By asking him not to engage in inappropriate behaviour, you are assuming a level of reasoning that I don't see from a scan of his recent posts. My AUD0.04 Cheers Russell C.
