Things about posts being Off-topic, well, I think it was declared long ago that nothing is off topic on this list. As for dumb, that term is too subjective, so it can be discarded as well. If you want to expand definitions of subjective words like obscene and vulgar, and establish guidelines for those, we can do that as well. As for posting of Copyrighted material... Copyrighted material should not be posted to the list unless you have permission of the Copyright holder. properly cited, small excerpts of copyrighted material being posted is usually fine, but copyright laws are serious business.
