Been there, done that. Did not work.

I have asked him politely to stop trolling -- he did not listen. I have
*told* him to stop trolling -- he did not listen. He once said he would stop
trolling if a listowner would tell him to; I told him as a listowner to stop
trolling, but he still did not listen.

So, either we accept that as much as 20% of postings (perhaps even more) on
this list are trolls and worse, or we put a stop to Mark's misbehaviour.

If the former, we risk losing even more members and risk getting a
reputation for being a safe haven for trollers and flamers (Brin-L =
Troll-L). If the latter, this list can return to what it used to be: a
wonderful platform for people to have civilised discussions.

So, what shall we do with the patient called "Brin-L"? Perform surgery and
save the patient, or not treat the patient and let him die a slow death?
