I also think that those of us who, over the years, have participated vehemently and at length in a wide variety of mostly OT discussions including but not limited to Middle-Eastern politics, gun control, abortion, gay rights, and metaphysics, should be very cautious about accusing other listmembers of driving people away through sheer annoyance. :-)
